10 glorious miles around the stunning coast path of Alderney in the Channel Islands. This is a handicap “Hare and Hounds” race for runners and walkers. Walkers start at 11am and Runners at 12am. Crossing the Radcliffe Viaduct and following the Nature Trail for over a mile and a half, the runners turn left to follow a steep little climb before getting onto an undulating loop around the fields next to Hurst Wood before returning to the Nature Trail […] An accurately measured hilly course with the first and last miles on forest trail and bridle ways. The race finishes in the stunning Ripley Castle Courtyard. A tough race but one, which continues to attract more competitors each year so the entry limit will be 500. This year’s nominated charity: Help For Heroes This is a highly enjoyable 10 mile road race which takes place on some very quite country lanes. The course is basically flat, but there is a climb between 8.5 and 9.5 miles. Apply early to avoid disappointment. Race web site http://www.tiptree10.org.uk The 10 Mile race starts nice and early at 8 am and is on a fast, flat, traffic free road surface. Registration is open from 7 am at the far end of the Albert Gate Car Park along the West Carriageway. There is a supervised ‘Bag Drop’ area, frequent water stations and public toilets. Trophies […] The race is held at Pembrey Country Park and takes in a tour of the park, forest and part of the beach. The running surfaces include tarmac, grass, sandy soil, forest tracks, a gravel forrestry road, a concrete road and a sandy beach.
