The XRunner Wild Thing cross country adventure race has been hailed as our toughest challenge in the race calendar yet! Voted ‘Men’s Health Adventure Race of the Year’ it is infamous for challenging even the bravest of adventure runners. Not for the faint of heart, the natural terrain is an obstacle in itself and being held at the end of September you never know what may fall on you from the skies or just how cold that swamp of doom will be when you splash in from the giant waterslide! And just to be even more cruel to our contenders we take the course through every inch of muddy bog we can find in the wild woods and undergrowth. The tunnels of terror are filled with water, the tightropes get slippery after 1000 muddy hands and feet have slid across them, so please do not apply if you like your whites whiter than white because this Wild Thing will beat not only your stamina but your running gear into total submission, but it’s muddy good fun!
