Race Description

Ultramediterrània is not just a race — it’s a journey through wild, historic and soulful Mediterranean mountains, at the best possible time of year. It is is a unique winter trail running event held in January, offering a rare chance to race long distances in perfect Mediterranean conditions when most of Europe is covered in snow or rain.
Set in the mountainous interior of northern Alicante, the race crosses natural parks, ancient trails, and historic villages, all surrounded by spectacular views.
The 4K VERTICAL – (+450 m) is a pure vertical kilometre-style race over 4 km, perfect for climbers and short-distance specialists. A relentless ascent that puts legs and lungs to the test.
