Race Description

The Jungle Ultra takes place in Peru, South America. Competitors run from a height of 9000ft in the Cloud Forest down through ancient winding tracks along the side of amazing vegetation covered mountains and in to the Amazon Rainforest below. The true epitome of ultra and adventure racing, competitors will experience the rainforest up-close and personal, sometimes alone, sometimes with friends, but always with with a wide eyed wonder often missing from everyday life. Every aspect of the race has been planned, right down to the smallest of details.

Race Itinerary:

Day 1 – Arrival and Transfer to Cloud Forest Base Camp – 9000ft
Day 2 – Day in Base Camp for Medical and Survival Briefings
Day 3 – Race Stage 1 – Start 7.30am – 36km – Stage Name: Cloud 9
Day 4 – Race Stage 2 – Start 7.30am – 31km – Stage Name: Amazonia
Day 4 – Race Stage 3 – Start 6.00am – 40km – Stage Name: Logging
Day 5 – Race Stage 4 – Start 6.00am – 20km – Stage name: The Lull
Day 6 – Race Stage 5 – Start 5.00am – 90km – Stage Name: The Long One
Day 7 – Rest Day
Day 8 – Race Stage 6 – Start 5.30am – 18km – Stage Name: Manu
Day 9 – Depart for Cuzco airport or on to pre-arranged itinerary
