Race Description

The inaugural Tacoma Earth Day 5k will be held on Saturday, April 28th, 2012 at 9:30am. This event is open to anyone and everyone. The scenic course goes through beautiful Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, WA.

The Earth Day 5k is dedicated to putting on an event that helps support the environment and the health of the community. We support the environment by giving each participant a tree as well as donating proceeds to local non-profits. The run supports the community’s health by providing an opportunity for fun engaging cardiovascular exercise, and a social opportunity for community members, families, and students to come together.

Event Day Schedule
8:15-9:15am: Pre-registration bib pick up, and day of race registration
9:00am: Kid’s Dash (1\4 mile)
9:30am: Start of 5k run and walk
10:45am: Post race tree giveaway, prizes, and snacks
