Race Description

The Sunderland City Half Marathon will be held for the second time in the City with a new route and as a stand alone race. The event starts and finishes at the Stadium of Light and is held entirely within the city centre and the coastal road to Roker Park. Held in conjunction with the Sunderland City 10K this is one of the biggest mass participation events in the North and competitors are drawn from around the region and beyond.

The Half Marathon route has been redesigned to create an absorbing and interesting route which will give runners the opportunities for fast times as well as encouraging first timers to complete this popular challenge. Check out the ROUTE and start planning your training and join us for one of the North East’s major mass participation races.

All finishers will of course receive their medal, technical t-shirt and good bag. Car parking is free in the Stadium of Light area which is also served by two Metro stations in close proximity.
