Race Description
Join in this year’s Race for Life and show cancer who’s boss by raising money to fund groundbreaking research into new drugs and treatments. Race for Life is cancer’s worst nightmare. So come along and run, walk, dance and sponsor – together we will bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

Lister Park won the 2006 Britain’s Best Park award, and a nomination for Best Park in Europe. It has a boating lake, tennis courts, Mughal Water gardens and botanical gardens.
Lister Park also plays host to Cartwright Hall, which holds a variety of exhibitions at any given time.
On the day of the Race for Life, visitors will be able to see Anish Kapoor’s ‘Turning the world inside out’ – a 2 tonne stainless steel sculpture.
Cartwright Hall is open on Saturday & Sunday 11am – 4pm. Admission is free.
