Race Description

The Sue Ryder Mascot Gold Cup is the world’s largest Mascot Race with over 50 larger than life furry characters racing for victory over a furlong and six fences.

The race takes place at Wetherby Racecourse and Conference Centre on their Family Day race meeting.

Organised by Sue Ryder, proceeds from the event go to support Sue Ryder and other charities.
We welcome mascots from other charities who pay an entry fee and raise money in sponsorship for their own good causes. We encourage mascots from organisations not affiliated with a specific charity, to run for Sue Ryder, to help fund our incredible care and to enable us to keep this great event running.

As well as first, second and third place prizes for the main race, the Mascots complete a highly anticipated one-minute warm up, before going on parade to compete for numerous prizes.
