ARCHIVED RACE: Impact Uganda 2 @ Virtual, Castle Rock, Colorado, United States on 28 August 2021

We are doing it again. Impact Uganda 2, our Second Annual race. Just like last year, you can run, walk or hop your way through a 5K or a 10K. We encourage you to do this together with friends and family. Get as many people to complete the race with you. Keep track of your time and then come back here and enter your time. Take some pictures and post them here too.

Funds raised through this race will go to support the children and families that True Impact Ministries supports in Uganda. Last year when the pandemic started, the government locked down the country. While that caused many issues, it kept Covid from impacting the country. This year, Covid is seriously impacting Uganda. Many are sick and dying. Hospitals are overflowing. They need our prayers and our help.

We are working in several ways this year to help the children. As we have been doing for the past year, we are getting food packages to the children and their families each month. We are also working to make sure the children are in a safe home and have what they need. Prior to this resurgence of Covid in Uganda True Impact began working on a mentorship program to teach the children much needed skills for daily living.

And our major building project for this year is a new school building in Kigalama. Building the new school building also means building a new kitchen and latrine that both needed to be relocated.

All these projects need your help. Participation in the race this year is one way you can help. While it may seem like a small thing you are doing, the more people we have participating in this race, the better the results will be and the more work we can do to help the children and families in Uganda.
