Race Description

What better way to spend Father’s Day weekend than a weekend in the picturesque Heber Valley on Utah’s most beautiful marathon course. Not to mention all the other activities in Heber Valley. A short 40 minute drive from the Salt Lake International Airport. Once there you are only minutes from the world-renowned Deer Valley and Sundance ski resorts, Heber Valley boasts three state parks, a 2002 Olympic venue, a historic tourism railroad, 90 holes of stunning mountain golf, and a Swiss-themed town that was recently voted as Utah’s favorite town.
The Heber Valley Marathon & Half, a USATF certified course, course pays homage to Utah’s celebrated Central Wasatch. Marathon and Half. The race begins at Jordanelle Reservoir and travels through the Heber Valley ending and the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center, the location of the Endurance Sports Summit and finish line for the Valkyrie Multisport Relay and Valhalla 5K.
Marathon runners compete on the comparatively cool, scenic highways and country roads of Wasatch County, Midway, and Heber City, Utah. The first half of the full Marathon is a capricious B-line to Midway town center, pairing a 646 ft climb with a 1083 ft descent. The second half (also the Half Marathon) meanders through the tree-lined neighborhoods and past green pastures of Midway and Heber City before arriving at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center (SHNC) and Finish Line at the Endurance Sports Summit.
