TRAVEL Westside Retail Park is on the left-hand side of the A65 Leeds – Ilkley road just before Guiseley. There is ample car parking at Westside Retail Park. The post code is LS20 9NE.
TOILETS & CHANGING Toilets, changing and shower facilities are available at the ANSA Clubhouse in Nunroyd Park.
RACE NUMBERS Your race number is enclosed (registration is not required) Please pin your number securely to the front of your vest or tee-shirt.
START The start for safety reasons is down Spring Wood by the railway bridge. Please follow the directions to the start. It will take you about 5 minutes to walk to the start.
COURSE The course will be marshalled and marked. From the start in Springs Wood the race follows the track to the bottom of Springs Wood. Turn left along the track to Gill Lane. Down through Esholt Works across the River Aire by the ‘ Little ‘ suspension bridge to the Leeds – Liverpool Canal. Turn right and follow the canal to Thackley Bottom. (Please do not drink or immerse yourself in the canal water. It is untreated and there are dangerous water borne diseases such as Weil’s Disease)
Turn right across the river again to the main road. Be careful along the pavement to Esholt Lane. There will be a drinks station at this point, approx 6K .Along Esholt Lane to the ‘Emmerdale Village. Pass by the Woolpack up hill to Jerisson Wood. The track brings you back to Springs Wood, then up the fields to the finish. Good Luck !!
FINISH The finish is at the rear of the Westside Retail Park behind Argos. Drinks will be available at the finish.
Each Finisher will receive a bottle of GUISELEY GALLOP BEER specially brewed for the race by Paul Briscoe’s Brewery.
BAR The Bar at the ANSA Clubhouse in Nunroyd Park will be open after the race.
PRIZES & PRESENTATION There will be an extensive prize list. The prizes for the first 3 Men and Ladies will be presented at the race finish. All other prizes will be posted out.
RESULTS The results will be posted at the finish as soon as possible. Full race results may be obtained at a cost of £1 by addressing an envelope at the results desk. Results will also be available from www.ukresults.net
