Race Description

The Grunty Fen is a fast, flat and friendly Half Marathon race held on quiet rural roads in the Cambridgeshire Fens yet still only 20 mins by road from Cambridge.

Now in its 22nd year the Grunty Fen offers a great experience for first timers and experienced racers alike. Results are chip timed. The course is well suited for spectating, passing along Main St Witchford twice at 5 and 12 miles.

The race venue Witchford Village College offers an excellent spacious location with refreshments, massage, changing facilites and parking nearby. There is even a 1 mile fun run around the college grounds.

All Half Marathon finishers receive a unique minted 50mm medal. In addition to the top three male and female prizes (£200+shoe voucher/£100/£50) there are awards for 1st M & F teams: M 4x£25, F 3x£25. New M/F course records £50 each. Age category prizes (M/F 5-year intervals). The course is suitable for wheelchairs (1st M/F trophies).

The race incorporates the Cambs AA Championships and is also a Cambs Road Race League Event.
