Race Description

Come and see the historic and majestic city of Edinburgh, home to Edinburgh Castle, Royal Yacht Britannia and Palace of Holyrood House (the official residence of the Queen in Scotland).

Our event offers all runners the chance to achieve a personal best time. With an overall elevation drop of almost 40m the EMF has the fastest legal marathon route in the UK. Average finishing time is almost 12 minutes faster than the old route.

If you want to enter for charity, places are guaranteed with for a minimum fundraising target of £750.

You need to be quick to get your place, entries are on a first-come, first-served basis and have sold out every year since 2008.
