Race Description

This is the seventh Clandon Park Run, an event renowned for its friendly atmosphere and family races. Once a year, the Earl of Onslow generously allows the chance to run a 10km route around the private Clandon Park Estate. There is also be a 4km event and a junior Fun Run taking place at the same time. Registration opens at 08:45 and closes at 10.30. Warm-up for all runners starts at 10:20

10k cross-country run: The event starts at 11:00 with a 2km dash across Merrow Park and Merrow Common before you reach the 6km loop around Clandon Park. Run across fields, hurtle down single-tracks and around lakes, leap over bridges and stiles and see parts of the estate not open to the public. This event is recommended for those over the age of 16. Early entry £15 until 30/3/2013 (then £17).

4k cross-country run: This course consists mostly of off-road grass and woodland tracks across Merrow Park and around Merrow Common. It is suitable for adults and pupils Year 6 and above and starts at 11:07. Early entry £6.50 until 30/3/2013 (then £8).

Junior Fun Run: Medal running races for all ages on the school field track; distances range from 80m to 1200m. Scootathon back by popular demand for Infants (Reception to Year 2) plus obstacle races and balance and throwing challenges. Juniors (Years 3-6) have the option to try out a new sport (javelin, judo, boxing) or spectate as family and friends finish the 4k and 10k races. First events kick off at 10:40. Early entry £4 until 30/3/2013 (then £6).
