ARCHIVED RACE: Clandon Park Run @ George Abbot School, Guildford, Surrey, UK, 21st April 2012

This is the sixth Clandon Park Run, an event renowned for its friendly atmosphere and family races. Once a year, the Earl of Onslow generously allows the chance to run a 10km route around the private Clandon Park Estate. There is also be a 4km event and a junior Run-4-Fun multisports morning taking place at the same time. Registration opens at 08:45, with a warm-up at 10:20

10k cross-country run: The event starts at 11.00 with a 2km dash across Merrow Park and Merrow Common before you reach the 6km loop in Clandon Park itself. Run across fields, hurtle down tracks and around lakes, leap over bridges and stiles and see parts of the estate not open to the public. This event is recommended for those over the age of 16.

4k cross-country run: This short course consists mostly of off-road grass and woodland tracks across Merrow Park and around Merrow Common. It is suitable for adults and pupils Year 6 and above and starts at 11.07.

Junior Run-4-Fun: This is an action-packed multisports morning including medal running races for all ages. Join in, have fun, and try a new sport! Junior (Years 3-6) events this year will include tag rugby, basketball, orienteering and lacrosse. Infants (Reception to Year 2) can enjoy obstacle races and balance and throwing challenges.
