Race Description

The BELFAST ONE WORLD RUN – formerly the THIRD WORLD RUN – is a unique cross-community Charity Fun Run, started in Belfast by a small local group during the height of the troubles in 1987, The run raises funds to help provide aid for those living in various ‘Third World’ countries who still faced the ever-present problems of hunger, disease and natural catastrophes. It is a cross-community event, organised with the assistance Christian Aid, Concern Worldwide, Oxfam and Trocaire.

This year’s “Belfast One World Run” will be the 27th in the series and to date over £156,000 has been distributed to the four charities.

Events: 10K Run, a 3K Run, and a 3K “Family Fun Walk”
