Race Description

Penang Bridge International Marathon held every year since 1985, people from all over the world come together to participate in this thrilling occasion of running across one of the longest bridge in the world – The Penang Bridge, Penangites very own
pride and joy.

Catering to the PBIM event, it is the only time of the year that this honourable national landmark is ever closed from traffic for several hours.

Very popular among sportsmen, school-going youngsters, working adults and families in search of a good time, the PBIM comprises of a full marathon, a half marathon, a quarter marathon and a 10 kilometer fun run opened to those above the age of 13.

The Penang Bridge International Marathon is a much anticipated affair as trophies, finisher medals, and among other prizes are given out to those who have accomplished the race in their best time as well as to those who take part in this enjoyable event.

This renowned event is organized by the Penang State Tourism Development and Culture.
