Race Description

To mark our 25th year we are holding a very special event for everyone to join together and show their support for local life limited children and their families. We need your help to make this happen!

The Acorns Lantern Walk will start by the picturesque lake at Walsall Arboretum in the early afternoon, as each walker lights their lantern to shine together in celebration of 25 years of caring. Setting off together along a 12km scenic loop, your glowing lanterns will guide the way to a very special place, the Acorns Black Country Hospice. As the sun sets and the atmosphere builds, we’ll return to the arboretum and cross the finish line accompanied by live music and lanterns shining brightly. Celebrations will culminate in a stunning laser light display across the lake.

Registration is only £5 and includes your paper lantern and a 25th anniversary medal! You will receive your paper lanterns ahead of the event so that you can decorate them and show your creative flair! We have made the route wheelchair and buggy friendly so that everyone can take part.
