ARCHIVED RACE: Women in Defense – Chesapeake Bay Chapter 5K/10K Run and Walk @ Cedar Point Golf Course, Patuxent River, MD, United States on 18 August 2012

Brief Description
All proceeds support the Women in Defense (WID) – Chesapeake Bay Chapter Scholarship Fund to encourage careers in national security/defense industry.

Day-Of Registration
Limited day-of registration will be available beginning at 0630. The fee to register on race day is $30 for the 5K and $35 for the 10K. Checks or cash will be accepted the day of the race.

Base Access
You do not need base access to register for this race if you pre-register by 14 May. You will need base access if you plan to register the day-of.

Directions to the Golf Course
Enter NAS Patuxent River from Gate 2 located on RT 235. Once you are on the base, continue straight through the traffic lights. You will proceed on the same road across the flight line. With the water on your left, the golf course will be on your right.

Age Groups
For both the 5K and 10K, medals will be awarded to the overall male and female finisher, and the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age categories: 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and over.

Baby Strollers
Baby strollers/joggers are allowed in the both races.

Rain
Both events will be held “Rain or Shine”.

Arrival Time
We encourage everyone to arrive early. Day-of registration begins at 0630. Please arrive no later than 7:45 to pick up your race packet.

Parking
Ample free parking is available at the start/finish for both events.
