Race Description

This fall, enjoy one of three distances of foot races along the Middle Fork Willamette National Recreation Trail near Oakridge, Oregon. Three distances 11 Mile(17.7KM), 22 Mile(35.4 KM) or 33 Mile(53 KM). The 33 mile distance takes you to the headwaters of the Middle Fork of the Willamette River. The trail winds in and out of the lush river valley. sights include mossy river side sections, short but tough climbs out of the valley to some prairie and back into the valley for a cruise though an old growth grove. Elevtion gain is 1400, 2800 and 5500 feet, respectively

The course is 99% trail with some roots, rocks and stream crossings. Navigation will be simple, all turns and road crossings will be marked. aid stations for all races feature the usual ultra fare. All finishers will receive an hand made medal and champions of each race will receive the famous WHEE Pig mug among other prizes. The start and finish line will be at the Sacandaga Campground, 26 miles southwest of Oakridge Oregon.

WHEE run is a 501(c)3 nonprofit benifiting local charities. WHEE Runs Operates under a special use permit with Willamette National Forest and is an equal opportunity outdoor recreation service provider
