Event Summary:
The streets of Westport will be filled with holiday cheer as hundreds of Santas rush through the streets! Come be a part of the fun! Each participants receives a Santa suit!
Event Details:
This world could use a little more Santa, right? Take advantage of this opportunity to become every child’s favorite man by donning a Santa suit in the heart of Kansas City. Register Now and start your Holiday celebration early with friends and family.
Entry Fee: Individual -$25 through 10/31, $30 through 12/5, $35 packet pick-up and race day
Family of 4+ -$20/person through 10/31, $25/person through 12/5, $30 packet pick-up and race day
Elf Dash: $10 through 10/31, $15 after 10/31
All participants in the Santa Dash receive their own Santa Suit and lots of holiday treats!
Start/Finish: The race starts at 10 AM near the intersection of Westport Rd and Pennsylvania Ave.
Elf Dash: For ages 12 & under. Elf Dash will start as soon as the last 5K participant crosses the finish line. The Elf Dash will not be timed. All Elf Dash participants will receive an elf hat and a finisher’s medal!
Packet Pickup: Garry Gribble’s Running Sports, Ward Parkway Center (8600 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO), Friday, Noon to 6 PM.
You may also pick up your packet on race morning from 8:30-9:30 AM.
Awards: Awards will be given to top
male and female Santas and top 3 Santas in age groups 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and up.
Note: you do not have to wear a Santa suit to qualify for an award …by why wouldn’t you?
Post-race: Join us afterwards for Santa’s favorite post-race snack -milk and cookies -along with other great holiday treats! Be sure to hit up the streets of Westport after the race for great deals on holiday shopping!
Strollers Welcome! We ask that walkers with strollers start behind the runners so everyone will be safe!
Note: No runners with headsets, motorized vehicles, roller blades, bikes or dogs will be allowed on the course as our insurance policy does not cover these. No runners with strollers will be allowed but you can WALK with a stroller. Protection will be provided at all intersections by volunteers or the Kansas City Police Department.
