Race Description

Whether you are an avid runner, a leisurely walker or just plain crazy, you won’t want to miss this year’s 6K Wapsi Wilderness Wipeout on Saturday, August 25th. This unique race features the trails of the Wapsipinicon State Park in Anamosa. Runners and Walkers will encounter hay bales to cross, muddy slopes, downed trees, tire obstacles and creek crossing while experiencing the beauty of the State Park. There will also be a giant slipe-n-slide at the finish and possibly a few other surprises along the way. Registration is from 7-7:45 on Saturday, August 25th and the race will begin promptly at 8:00. You may also preregister online at www.ignitejc.org/www. The race will be professionally chipped timed and race participants will receive a draw string athletic bag, canteen water bottle and a pair of running socks. Awards will be given to the top male & female overall as well as the top male and female in each age category. Race presented by Jones Regional Medical Center.
