Race Description

Wake Up and Run!! Leave on the PJs and rock that crazy bedhead and Join the Friends of Proud Lake for an early morning trail hike and run through Proud Lake Recreation Area. The course winds through a beautiful forest setting filled with diverse habitats.

After you finish the course, we invite you and your cheering section to join us for a pancake breakfast. (Gluten Free Friendly)

Your Registration proceeds will be used to fund the installation of two all inclusive playgrounds at Proud Lake Recreation Area.

The race will start at the River Hawk Complex and parking attendants will be on hand to guide you as you enter the park. Parking may become limited so arrive early to secure a spot in one of three closer lots.

Reminder that all vehicles need the recreation passport to enter the park. These can be purchased at the park on race day or go to for more information on other ways to purchase the passport. We highly recommend that you purchase your passport in advance to avoid delays getting into the park on race day.

Michigan registered vehicle:
– $11 at Secretary of State
– $16 at the Park
Non-resident vehicles:
– $9 daily pass
– $32 annual pass

Also note that MDOT will be repairing the bridge on Wixom Rd north of the entrance to Proud Lake Recreation Area and the road will be closed. If you are coming from the north, we recommend planning your route ahead of time to follow the posted detour around the park in order to enter from the south off of Wixom Rd.
