Race Description

ILLINOIS OLDEST TURKEY TROT!!

58th annual Thornton Turkey Trot.
9:00 AM- 1 Mile Kids Run (8th grade and younger) & 1 Mile community walk
9:30 AM- Community 5k
Started in 1968, this race brings out the best runners in the south suburbs and has for over five for decades. Come cover the course that thousands of runners have conquered prior to their Thanksgiving festivities.
There is a High School Team competition. The team competition only requires 3 athletes from a school to be awarded team points (boys & girls, no co-ed competition). Proceeds will benefit the Winged Foot Foundation.
All finishers will receive a medal and we will be giving out awards to the top three in each of the following age groups(M-F):
14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80 & Older
