Race Description

START TIME: 7:30(ish)

Join the Oviedo Run Club and our community in continuing the Rising tradition.

The course begins in front of the Historic Sanctuary at First United Methodist Church and follows the Cross Seminole Trail for and out and back distance of either a 5k or 10k. The Kids’ Fun Run is under a mile, along the beautiful canopied road.

Each year, The Rising has raised thousands of dollars to be put back into our local charities, like HopeHelps, Inc. and The Oviedo Preservation Project. The area schools are encouraged to sign up as teams to win grants for the largest schools in attendance. Your registration helps fund our mission of giving.

Cash awards are given to the top 3 male and female finishers for the 5k and 10k distances. Finishers medals and age group winners (5 year increments) are also given and a sure to be worth running for.

The Oviedo Run Club is committed to putting on a green event, which entails the use of compostable water cups, on site recycling and race packets that are full of useable items, not to be wasted.
