Race Description

The May Mile™ is the only race dedicated solely to 16 and unders. It’s a One Mile Run in a safe, off-road environment to encourage an active lifestyle helping young people realise their potential. It’s also a unique opportunity for the county’s fastest runners to compete with their contemporaries and for the younger years to discover their running legs. It’s only £3 to enter (£4 on the day) individually or with members of your family £10 (£12 on the day). The first race is at 11am. Be in good time for the warm-up with Live Music at 10.45am. As promised every runner will get a special May Mile™ Medal and Time. The Trophies and Certificates will be awarded after the last race at around 12.15pm to winners and places. We have extra bonus prizes from Blacklands Fitness, Health & Leisure Centre for winners in each of the 6 running categories: U7s (1/2 mile), U9s, U11s, 11-12yrs, 13-14yrs, 15-16yrs.

The May Mile™ is also designed for the supporting parents, grandparents, friends… there is a Barbeque and revitalising May Mile™ smoothies, face-painting, cakes plus some professional help with any injury, stretching, winding down or any other physical advice from Park Lane Practice Oesteopaths.
