Race Description

The Elevation Everest Race is an endurance event held at Winter Park Resort in Colorado focusing on elevation gain rather than distance. The goal? Accumulate half or the full elevation of Mt. Everest.

Choose to race solo or make a relay team with friends to divide the total elevation gain. Athletes race up the mountain, ride the gondola down, and repeat until they summit.

The Half Everest race involves 10 laps up the mountain, over 14,516 ft of elevation gain, 22 miles, and 17 hours to finish.

Looking for an even bigger challenge? Take on the Full Everest – 19 laps up the mountain, over 30,000 ft of elevation gain, 42 miles, and 17 hours to finish.

Backed by industry-leading sponsors like Garmin, La Sportiva, Gorewear, and Runners Roost, Elevation Everest is one of Colorado’s fastest-growing endurance races and was voted a top-two finalist for “Endurance Event of the Year” by Colorado Event Alliance.
