Now in its 23 year, the D Day is a popular 10k road race run on a flat, fast and virtually traffic-free course. The race HQ has excellent facilities; changing, showers, refreshments. There is an extensive prize list with prizes in all age groups from junior to Over 80 veteran. Pre-race and post-race massage available. Fast, Flat, Boston Qualifier, USATF Certified. Great course, scenic, great facility. Full Marathon, 20 Miler, and 1/2 Marathon. (3 races) Showers, REAL FOOD, Massages, Seating, Live Band. All cash prizes go to a RANDOM finisher in each race!! A challenging course with some uphill sections but fantastic views on the fast downhill section through tree lined country roads. Not traffic free but well marshalled. Traffic free route within the boundaries of the park. 5.25 mile mixed terrain run through a nature reserve. Also 1.5 mile Fun Run in the Nature Reserve. |
