The Salford 5km run is less of a competitive race, and everyone is welcome to take part. It will run concurrently with the 10k, so you cannot enter both events. Minimum age – 11 years old. Prizes for the 1st Five Men and Women overall. Best fancy dress runner will receive a prize! Chip Timing […] 
The race starts and finishes in the Plaza between the Lowry Theatre and the Lowry Outlet Mall. The route then goes through MediaCityUK, past the BBC offices and across the Manchester Ship Canal, via the new bridge. Now in it’s 4th year, the City of Salford 10k starts and finishes on the plaza between the Lowry Theatre and the Lowry Outlet Mall, running out via MediaCityUK over the Ship Canal to Trafford Park and then past Manchester United FC, before heading back over the Salford Quays bridge to the finish area. |
