Race Description

The Swim Long event is a GPS tracked point to point sea swim. The route is a simple traverse along the seafront to Hengistbury Head (and back). Swimmer’s handrail the beach by 50 meters. Each swimmer is issued a tow float that carries their GPS tracker and acts as an emergency buoyancy aid should it be required. Supporters, friends, and family can accurately track the swimmers as they move along the course. The 5km swim starts at Boscombe pier and finishes adjacent to the Hengistbury Head car park. The 10km follows the same course but swimmers turn at the 5km finish and return back to Boscombe pier. Feed stations will be present at the 2.5km point on both the 5km and 10km.
