Race Description

Pacific Sports LLC is teaming up with the Los Angeles County Affiliate of the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure® to produce the March 24, 2012 Race for the Cure 5K run/walk at Dodger Stadium.

The Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® was founded in 1996. Since that time, the L.A. County Affiliate has raised more than $8.9 million to support local breast health programs through their community grants program. The first local Race for the Cure was in 1996 and more than 4,000 people participated. The goal for the March 24, 2012 LA County Race for the Cure 5K Run/Walk at Dodger Stadium is to meet or exceed 20,000 people. All funds from the Komen Race for the Cure go to research, education, screening and treatment programs with 75% staying in the local community. In a recent Harris Interactive poll, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® ranked number one as the most valued non-profit brand people are most likely to donate money to. Additionally, Komen for the Cure ranked second on the 2010 list of the nation’s most trusted charities. More information: www.komenlacounty.org
