Race Description

The 40th Annual Stowe 8-Miler and 5k is returning to Stowe, Vermont on July 12, 2020, for another day of scenic New England running! Join thousands of runners and spectators at Vermont’s best summer road race where you celebrate your finish with refreshingly cool Island Homemade Ice Cream and delicious craft beer from Harpoon!

The 8-Miler boasts a rolling course that ambles through the beautiful Vermont countryside then takes you through the heart of downtown Stowe. Scenic views of mountains, fields, and country roads abound. The race starts at the recreation fields on Weeks Hill Road and finishes in front of the Golden Eagle Resort.

The 5k is a very easy course with no hills and only a few small inclines. The total course elevation changes only 70 feet over the entire distance. The 5k starts at the same time and place as the 8-Miler, but veers off at Mile 2 and continues the last mile on the scenic Stowe Bike Path. The finish will be close to the parking area at the recreation fields. From there it’s a short walk to the post-race party (or to see your friends and family finish the 8-miler)!
