Join us for the 7th Annual Stars & Stripes Run~Walk!
Saturday, October 6, 2018 at SUNY Poly (formerly SUNYIT)

Individuals and teams are invited to participate in honor or in memory of a loved one who is or has served our country. The event will feature a 5k run, 5k wheelchair race, 2-mile walk, and a fun-filled, military-inspired obstacle course!

The Stars & Stripes Run~Walk raises funds to treat veterans at Sitrin who do not have adequate health insurance or who prefer community-based providers.

This event is the primary fundraiser for Sitrin’s Military Rehabilitation Program, which provides comprehensive care for veterans who have post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic diagnoses, multiple trauma, and other combat-related conditions. Thanks to your help, post-9/11 veterans who choose to be treated at Sitrin pay nothing for their care.

As the complicated needs of the veteran population grow, Sitrin continues to reach beyond the biomedical model of care. In addition to its traditional therapies, such as dance/movement therapy, equine-assisted therapy and planned helpfulness.
