Race Description

Join us on Sunday, March 10, for the Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile race in Prospect Park, featuring a scenic loop course along Park Drive. 10 AM Start for both races. USATF certified course.

Sponsored by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in cooperation with the Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks Dept.

AMENITIES:

Bag check, aid stations every mile, free T-shirt, medals for all finishers, and our famous post-race pancake breakfast!

THE COURSE:

A scenic loop (with some hills), traveling counterclockwise on the pedestrian lane of the main Park Drive, through forest and meadow. Starting just North of the Lincoln Rd. Lawns, continuing through Battle pass, past Nellie’s Lawn, down Long Meadow, past Lookout Hill, alongside Prospect Park Lake, and finishing at Harry’s Wall. 5K is just short of one complete loop of the park, the 7-Miler is two loops.

T-SHIRTS:

Free race T-shirts guaranteed for all participants registered by February 23.
For participants registered after February 22, remaining T-Shirts will be available after the race on a first-come first-serve basis.
T-Shirt sizes are Unisex: X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2XL

POST-RACE PANCAKE BREAKFAST!

Hot pancakes are even more enjoyable after you’ve run a race, and we’re cooking them up fresh for everyone on race day!

TIME LIMITS:

5K: 1 hour (20 min/mile pace)
7-Mile: 1hr, 45 min (15 min/mile pace)

AGE RESTRICTIONS:

5K: 13 & up
7-Mile: 15 & up

REGISTRATION AND FEES:

We strongly recommend pre-registering for this event, race-day registration may not be available.

Register Online through RedPodium or Active. (Processing fee applies, RedPodium has lower fee).
Register by mail: Download entry form. Entry must be postmarked NO LATER than Friday, February 23 to be accepted.

Early registration: 5K: $25, 7-Mile: $30, through Friday, February 22 (online or by mail)
Late registration: 5K: $30, 7-Mile: $35, through Friday, March 9, 5:00 PM (online only)
Race-day registration, IF AVAILABLE: 5K: $40, 7-Mile: $45, 8:45 – 9:30 AM on race day. Cash, check, money order ONLY. (Sorry, no credit cards). Please check our race webpage on March 9 to see if race day registration will be offered.

Entries cannot be transferred to another person.

RACE NUMBER PICKUP:

Number pickup will be on race day only, between 8:45 – 9:45 AM

DIRECTIONS:

Prospect Park is a big park with many entrances, please familiarize yourself with the map and directions on our race website before race day, we don’t want you to get lost!

RESULTS:

Will be posted on our race webpage within 24 hours.
