Race Description

The Rotary Club of Calne Annual Charity 10 kilometre run and walk is being held on Sunday 24th March 2013 around Bowood Park. It starts from The Bowood House Visitor Entrance (by the coffee shop) with booking-in from 8.30am to 9.45am. There will be a staggered start from 10.00am for serious runners and then at 10.05 for walkers. The entrance to Bowood is off the A4 in Derry Hill. The coffee shop will be open for drinks / food and toilets for runners and their guests from 9am.

The aim is to raise money for charity, but we aim to keep the entry fee low – £7 (£6 in advance). All runners who keep their race number can get one free entry to Bowood during 2013, when accompanied by a paying visitor (Excludes Event Days, stc).

The event will take place over a measured 10 km, on tracks and roads through Bowood Park. Appropriate footwear for running on grass tracks / muddy paths is required. All runners enter at their own risk.

Winners medals will be awarded to the top three of both Senior and Junior (16 and under on the day) Male and Female runners. Walkers will be given a rousing cheer on completion. Prizes and medals have been donated by RonHill clothing and Regency Presentations and first aid cover by St John’s Ambulance.
