Race Description

Every year for the past 30 years the Tydfilians (a charitable organization) and with the assistance of the Mayor’s office organize the ‘Roman Run’

“Re-started in 1980 to commemorate The Martyr of Tydfil 1600 years ago. Follow the route between Forts of the Roman Legions stationed in Wales. Test yourself against the elements as your Forefathers did 1600 years ago. 16 Miles of historical, challenging and scenic route ranging from 500 ft to 1500 ft above sea level”.

This year the event is taking place on Saturday 25th August 2012 it starts at 12.00 Noon in Silver Street, Brecon running over the Brecon Beacons and ending at Cyfarthfa Castle Museum. Buses will be provided from Cyfarthfa Castle car park to take runners to the start of the race in Brecon.
