Race Description

“Giddy-up Ragnarians! Reebok Ragnar Luckenbach is the 200-ish mile overnight running relay that will put swagger in your two-step. Starting outside of Austin, Texas in the quaint town of Bastrop, you and your team of 12 (or ultra-team of 6 runners) will run relay-style through the scenic Lone Star State. The finish line party will be held at the legendary music venue and dance hall, Luckenbach, where country music luminaries are known to drop in for intimate concerts. Not only is it the namesake for Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson’s hit song, but also an ideal spot to celebrate your 200-ish mile adventure. For out-of-towners, we suggest trippin’ back to Austin with your team to stay-and-play for the weekend. This course will remind you why you’re proud to call Texas home: rolling hills, blue bonnet flowers, winding rural back roads that pass ranches and farm country, views of the Guadalupe River and the Texas Hill Country.

This race is how runners do Friday Night Lights! Stars, headlamps and lit-up vans illuminate the way as you run through the night and chase down the moon(shine). Before you hang up your cowboy hat, you and your team will enjoy live music, the sweet smell of bbq, food trucks and beer at the historic country music town of Luckenbach. No Texan is afraid of a good hard challenge, and on March 31st- April 1st, you’ll have a chance to find out what you’re truly made of. ”
