Race Description

We are excited to announce the inaugural Redz River Run 5K Race hosted by the Baton Rouge Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The event will feature a timed 5k race that starts and finishes at the Southern University Lab School. Registered participants will receive a t-shirt and medal upon completion. The placement awards for both runners and walkers will be announced after the race. Following the 5K, we will host a Community Health Fair with a variety of vendors to bring awareness to the community resources and health services. The Community Health Fair will feature an “Ask a Doc” series, JiggAerobics, and Wellness Screenings.

The race will benefit several local charities including March of Dimes, Baton Rouge AIDS Society, It Takes A Village BR, The Butterfly Society, and the Southern Lab School.
