Race Description

Phoenix House Run! Walk! Ride!–For the Health of It! offers participants the choice of a 3K (1.8 mile) walk, a 5K (3.1-mile) run, or a 20-mile+ bicycle ride through beautiful country roads in southeast Rhode Island. Kicking off at ten o’clock that morning at Phoenix House Exeter Center, located at 251 Main Street, Exeter, Rhode Island, this year’s event will once again include a Health and Wellness Fair, with fun and healthy activities for all ages. We will feature a number of fitness and wellness practitioners, including the Rhode Island Blood Center’s Blood Mobile, the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and numerous others.

All proceeds from the event will support the efforts of Phoenix House to save lives devastated by drug and alcohol addictions. Here in Rhode Island that work is particularly important. The most recent National Survey on Drug Use and Health ranks substance abuse in Rhode Island among individuals age 12 and older as one of the highest rates in the nation.

Registration: $25 per participant; $10 seniors. Additional family members (18+): $10; adolescents (12+): $5. Children under 12 free!
