ARCHIVED RACE: Paws on the Pavement RunWILD 5K @ Wildwood Park for the Arts, Little Rock, Arkansas, United States on 13 October 2012

Wildwood Park for the Arts and CARE for Animals have combined race forces to offer at 8am on October 13, 2012 a 5K that the whole family can enjoy, especially the family dog! Paws on the Pavement RunWILD 5K is a point-to-point chip-timed race beginning in the middle of The Promenade at Chenal shopping center and finishing in Wildwood’s 105-acre green space. You’ll know the finish line is close when you enter Wildwood’s gate and become surrounded by a panoramic view of Swan Lake. The family dog will be happy to cross the finish line with you, with a dog treat reward and numerous doggie stations along the park to enjoy! Overall this route is a beautiful, unique course that is ideal for people and pets alike – the only 5K route that explores west Little Rock! There will be three waves for this 5K: runners only, runners and dogs and walkers/strollers.

Is a 1K more your style? The Paws on the Path WILDFun Run is a 1K designed for two and four-legged family members and allows participants to explore the trails in Wildwood’s Richard C. Butler Arboretum, Wildwood’s largest garden. Each 5K and 1K race registrant receives brats, beverages and other nourishment at the finish line prior to the awards presentation.
