Race Description

Every day members of our armed forces are giving their all to protect our nation and our freedom both in the continental United States and abroad. Tragically, some of these heroes will give the ultimate sacrifice. The mission of One Day for the KIA is to honor the sacrifices of servicemen and women killed in action through the founding of our Living Legacy Scholarship. This scholarship will provide tuition assistance to family members of our fallen heroes and is primarily funded through our annual 24 hour endurance run held on the campus of the Ohio State University.

This event is extremely challenging and requires a great amount of mental fortitude. Participants will complete as many laps around the course (.875 mi per lap) within 24 hours either individually or in small teams. When elite runners or runners with a can-do-no-quitting attitude compete in twenty-four hour endurance runs, finishing distances of up to, or even over, 130 miles are not uncommon. For runners looking to support an incredible cause and truly push themselves to the limit, One Day for the KIA’s 24 Endurance Run is the ideal challenge!
