Race Description

This race is an event of the WV Northern Community College Foundation to provide scholarships for students of the College. The race will be held Saturday May 3 at 8:30 a.m. and will start and end at the College, which is located at the corner of 16th and Market Streets, Wheeling. The course is all flat and will, for the most part, occur on the Heritage Port Trail adjoining the scenic Ohio River. Cost is $18 if pre-registered and $20 on Race Day.

Pre-registration is fem 7:00 to 10:00 on Friday May 2, and registration is from 7:00 to 8:15 on Race Day. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 250 participants. After the race participants will be directed inside the College to enjoy prizes awards, food and beverages. Awards consist of top 3 overall male and female runners and walkers; top 3 overall ale and female walkers; top 3 male/female runners and walkers via the following ages: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 4049, 50-59, 60-69, 70=79, and 80+. Timing is by George Frazier of Centre Town Fitness.
