Race Description

Salzburg – world-famous for the outstanding cityscape of Mozart’s birthplace and the breathtaking beauty of the Sound of Music region – is the stage of an outstanding event for runners and Nordic walkers. On 23 June 2012, mozart 100 will start at 5.00 in the morning at the foot of Hohensalzburg Castle on Mozartplatz square.

The course takes the participants from Mozartplatz in the festival town along the Salzach through one of the most magnificent regions of Austria with its beautiful forests, meadows, hills, rivers and towns to the Fuschlsee lake and back again.

mozart 100 has much to offer not only for experienced long-distance runners, but also for all those who wish to be close to nature and experience the beauty of this region while running or walking.

And what is most important: mozart 100 is demanding but feasible for athletes in all classes. With distances of 100 km and 54 km for individual athletes and from 9 to 30 km for relay team members, there is a suitable competition for everyone.
