The route consists of a one lap loop, the first and last mile of which are on the same stretch of road. The course climbs gently out of Marlow to Bovingdon Green where it flattens and heads west through Marlow Common. There is then a short but fairly steep descent followed by a climb up to Lower Woodend. The route continues north to Chrisbridge Cross then west to Parmoor and then Pheasents. There is then a long descent down into the Hambleden valley. Once in the valley the route flattens and turns south past Hambleden towards Mill End. Just before Mill End the route turns east and climbs back out of the valley past Burrows Farm. The route then flattens and continues through Rotten Row and Bockmer End. There is then another short descent and climb back into Marlow Common where the outward route is rejoined for the last mile and a half down into Marlow.
