Race Description

Mad Monk obstacle race will Include the new DEATH SLIDE….! The infamous river crossing, mud bank, tunnels, hay bales, hurdles, assault course, balance zone, toxic stream and cargo nets..!

The Mad Monk returns to Darley Abbey for the fourth year, this years event will be harder and tougher, are you up for this awesome challenge…?

The event will be held on Sunday 13th May 2012 in the beautiful world heritage village of Darley Abbey, Derbyshire.

Run as an individual or in teams and enjoy, the pain, the burn, the camaraderie of the route. The adventure course will be a challenge to both your mental and physical abilities…..

The Mad Monk featuring the new DEATH SLIDE….! A gruelling obstacle race with over twenty four obstacles and challenges designed to take you out of your comfort zone…

Train hard, front up and come and tackle the infamous adventure course…………

Facilities;- Free Parking, Free Showers, Technical Tee Shirt, Goodie Bag, Licensed Bar, BBQ, Charity Stalls, Sponsors Stalls, Free Spectator Area, please note some activities will be weather permitting…!

Distance;- Each race consists of five kilometre laps, so the choice is yours, one or two laps, 5k or 10k..?
