Race Description

The Mad Dog Fitness Challenge is coming back to New Hampshire!

On October 13, 2012, the Mad Dog Fitness Challenge is returning to Gunstock Mountain. With fitness obstacles placed up the mountain, this 5k has been dubbed “the toughest 5k you’ll ever do”, and those who have run it before can attest to it! The Concord Athlete Training Center and Brian’s One to One gym are the race organizers.

And, the race will be fan friendly, with great views of the race and obstacles, and access to all of the great activities that Gunstock has to offer. These activities will include a ropes course, zip line, face painting, food vendors, Segway tours, live music, and much more. It will be a great day for families, racers, and the sponsors.

Along with getting a killer workout, racers are giving back to the community. Ten percent of the proceeds will go to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The race also utilizes local sponsors and local businesses, supporting the local economy- all obstacles were constructed in Concord by Natural Playgrounds Construction Company, LLC.

The cost varies, dependent upon age and date of registration. The earlier you sign up, the lower the cost. Interested racers can go www.maddogfitnesschallenge.com or https://cui.active.com/event-reg/select-race?e=2759303&mailingId=&recipientId=&style=active to register.

Discounts available for students and military.

I did this race in June, it was awesome! Not going to lie, it was difficult as hell.. but it was worth every second! The obstacles were tough, but doable. The hardest part was that the course winds up and down the black diamonds of Gunstock.
