Race Description

Macclesfield Half Marathon is run on country roads and quiet lanes through the beautiful Cheshire countryside. The undulating course is well marshalled throughout and provides a challenge for all abilities of runner who can meet the cut off time of 2hr 35min.

As recommended in the July 2011 Runners World:

“This is one of those races that does everything very well and makes the organisation look easy (something that the hilly course definitely isn’t. The views, crowds and post race facilities and big goody bags are all second to none”

The main race starts at 10 00am on the running track at Macclesfield Leisure Centre, followed by a one mile fun run at 10 15am.
