Race Description

The Louisiana Marathon was established in 2012 to be a major racing event on the winter road racing calendar and running festival celebrating the passion for the sport combined with the Louisiana culture.

On January 17, 2016, the fifth annual running of The Louisiana Marathon will be hosted in Baton Rouge, the Capitol City. With the multi-race format, there’s a distance for everyone. Participants can choose from the marathon, half marathon, quarter marathon, 5K and kids marathon.

Friends, family and curious spectators will line up along the 26.2 miles of roadways filled with inspiring sights and sounds to cheer on the many that chose to run.

The Louisiana Marathon course features a fast, flat, festive path from downtown along the river through the University Lakes, the Louisiana State University campus and in historic river town neighborhoods.
