The ASICS Los Angeles Marathon celebrates its 42nd running this year, uniting more than 25,000 participants from across the globe for an unforgettable race weekend. After the 2026 event sold out months in advance, race organizers highly encourage those interested to register early this year!
Produced by The McCourt Foundation, a Los Angeles and Boston-based nonprofit dedicated to curing neurological diseases and building healthier communities, the ASICS LA Marathon continues to serve as one of the foundation’s largest fundraisers, having generated over $7.2 million for neurology research. The marathon course takes runners on a 26.2-mile journey beginning at Dodger Stadium and winding through the vibrant neighborhoods and iconic landmarks of Los Angeles, including Downtown L.A., Echo Park, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Brentwood, before finishing along Santa Monica Boulevard at Avenue of the Stars. With the marathon selling out in record time this past year, race organizers highly encourage interested runners to register asap.
Interested runners can also join the Charity Half Marathon, limited to runners raising funds for the marathon’s 125+ charity partners. The 2026 charity runners raised an impressive $4.5 million.
Race weekend also features the LA 5K, a family-friendly event welcoming more than 8,000 runners, walkers, and strollers through scenic Elysian Park to a memorable finish at Dodger Stadium. The 5K is a part of the Triple 5K Tour of LA, which starts with the Santa Monica Classic 5K, followed by the Rose Bowl 5K, and wraps up with the LA 5K. Participants earn four medals in total – one for each of them and then a special challenge medal after finishing the LA 5K!
Young athletes can join in the excitement through the LA Kids Run, part of the Kids Run LA Challenge alongside the Santa Monica Classic Kids Run and Rose Bowl Kids Run. The ASICS Los Angeles Marathon also serves as the grand finale of the Conquer LA Challenge, following the Rose Bowl Half Marathon and 5K and the Santa Monica Classic, rewarding those who complete all three events with exclusive finisher swag.
