Race Description
The Loch Ness Marathon is one of the most stunning marathons in the world. With spectacular Highland scenery, a fantastic atmosphere and a truly memorable point-to-point route, it’s no wonder it’s on the bucket list of participants from across the globe. The marathon course follows the shores of world-famous Loch Ness before finishing beside the River Ness in Inverness.
There’s something for everyone with the River Ness 10K and 5K offering flat routes alongside the River Ness that are ideal for both PB chasers and first-timers. The event also includes a 10K Corporate Challenge and the Wee Nessie kids’ race, making it a great weekend for all ages and abilities.

- How to Find Start Line: All marathon participants are transported by coach to the marathon start from Inverness Ice Centre on Bught Drive, Inverness IV3 5SR. This is a 10-minute walk from the Event Village.
- Nearest Parking: Where possible please consider car sharing or walking to the Event Village, Bught Park, Inverness. Disabled parking is available on Bught Park, please note this is located 200m from the Event Village. Follow signs to ‘VIP Parking’.
